Welcome

I’m Shakir Zari — an IoT and hardware security researcher passionate about breaking, reverse-engineering, and securing the devices that power our connected world. With over 11 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, hardware penetration testing, and embedded system exploitation, I’ve helped secure everything from smart home devices and medical equipment to automotive ECUs and wearable tech.

My work focuses on debug interface exploitation, firmware extraction and analysis, fault injection, and wireless protocol security. I’ve reported multiple CVEs, designed custom hardware hacking tools like EXPLIoT Nano and Bus Auditor, and delivered trainings at leading security conferences.

This portfolio is a collection of my research, disclosed vulnerabilities, hardware projects, and thoughts on the evolving landscape of IoT security.
